Macie's Grandma, Brenda, passed away on Saturday, August 4. She was diagnosed with Crutzfeldt Jacobs Disease a week and a half earlier. CJD is a rare and fatal brain disorder. Brenda was one of the most caring, energetic, selfless women I have ever known... and I am so lucky to have had her for a mother-in-law. We will miss her everyday.

Hi. My name is Andi and I knew Brenda over 20 years ago. She took myself and my two babies off the streets and brought me into her home, introduced me to Jesus Christ and discipled and mentored me for the next 5 years as I went through the Teen Challenge program and then back to live with her as I went through Barber College trying to make a career. She was like a mother and a sister to me. I have missed her terribly through the years and have tried on a number of occasions to find her. I am crushed that when I did finally find her today, she has gone on Home to be with the Lord. There are so many things I wanted to say to her, mostly to thank her for being so instrumental in my life and turning me around from a life of drugs to one that followed God! I am comforted that one day I will see her in Heaven and we will be able to catch up again! I am so sorry for your loss. She was an amazing woman and God used her greatly in my life!
