Gymnastics "Halloween" Style
As if Gymnastics wasn't cool enough anyway... the kids got to wear their Halloween costumes today!!! Super fun!! Macie was anxious to get into her class and you can tell by her look that she is a little put out that I asked her to stop and take a pictue before she went in the building...
She is stretching somewhere under all that fluff!
We did have to loose the costume eventually... it is difficult to do "real"gymnastics and be a witch!

Porter
Porter the puppy... Macie LOVES this little dog! He has been her very favorite since the day we brought him home. She is so attached... we even have a "back up Porter"... just in case. She has other toys she loves too... like Baby Kate and her Rowdy doll (the newest addition, Daddy brought him home from training camp this summer) - but Porter is definatley her fav!!!Wednesday, October 15, 2008

Weekend Fun!!
Our dear friends the Carrell's came to Dallas for a weekend visit!!! Staci, Makynli, Macie and I got up early on Friday morning to go to Canton for a day of shopping. Friday night Matt, Cade & Steve met up with us to go to Life's a Beach for dinner. The kids had so much fun playing in the sand after dinner!! Saturday we all went to Pumpkin Express and Snuffers to eat with the Kennon's. It was so much fun having them here!!

We LOVE Gymnastics!
Or should i say "gymnaskicks"... Macie is WAY into gymnastics. She started taking a class at Excite about 3 weeks ago... She is the youngest (class is for 3-5 year olds) and the smallest in her class. I haven't taken my camera to a class but I will try to remember to next week. But we see plenty of gymnastics around our house... She is constanstly flipping, and would wear one of her leotards all the time if i would let her!! She gets a little carried away sometimes - like trying to balance between the couch and the coffee table... but convinces me that it is ok because she is "practicing"... She loves to end all of her gymnastic rountines (and pretty much anything else, like going down the slide, pictured above) with this little pose - I don't even know what it is called but they do it in her gymnaskicks class so it must be cool!!

Even Better Than a Babydoll...
Uncle Derrell, Aunt GiGi, Marcus & Calvin came over to play yesterday! Macie had so much fun pushing Cal in the stroller and putting him in the pack n play (with help from Aunt GiGi of course!) She even let him hold Porter (which is huge b/c Porter the Puppy is her FAVORITE!). Sweet Marcus wanted no part of playing with Macie and Cal and was not thrilled to have to sit still long enough to take pictures!!

American Girl
Aunt Janis and Uncle Bob gave Macie her first American Girl Doll - a Bitty Baby - a few weeks ago for her birthday. Macie loves this baby - who she named Baby Kate. Today, for her birthday, Aunt Janis treated Macie and I to lunch at the American Girl Boutique and Bistro! GrandMimi and Amanda also came with us - and of course Baby Kate too! Baby Kate sat at the table with us while we ate in a special seat that attaches to the table... how cute is that?? There were several other little girls who were celebrating their birthday at the Bistro, and everytime the staff sang, she thought they were singing to her!!! When it was finally REALLY Macie's turn for the birthday song, she was soooo excited. They brought her a little chocolate cake with whip cream and sprinkles and a candle. She only ate the whip cream and sprinkles... and she loved it! After lunch, we went downstairs to the Boutique and shopped for Baby Kate. Amanda bought her a super cute fall outfit, complete with brown clogs. I bought her a new nightgown to sleep in. Aunt Janis bought her the blanket that matched the gown and... a DOUBLE JOGGING STROLLER!!! After shopping we went to Uncle Bob & Aunt Janis' house for birthday cake and ice cream. Macie was sooo excited about all of her gifts. She loved the clothes and the stroller for Baby Kate. GrandMimi made Macie a beautiful quilt - and is going to make a small matching one for Baby Kate! After Uncle Bob put the stroller together, we took it for a test drive to the pond so Baby Kate could see the ducks. We had so much fun!!!

First Day of School!!

Butterfy School
Butterfly School starts tomorrow!! Macie is sooo very excited! We went to Meet the Teacher last Tuesday - and she has asked to go to Butterfly School everyday since! She is going three days a week this year. Her teachers are wonderful... Ms Rosa and Ms Dolly. (Ms Rosa was actually her Sunday School teacher for the summer term). Her backpack is packed... her 'first day' outfit is ready to go... and she is sleeping soundly, dreaming of tomorrow I am sure!

Caldwell Zoo
