Even Better Than a Babydoll...

Uncle Derrell, Aunt GiGi, Marcus & Calvin came over to play yesterday! Macie had so much fun pushing Cal in the stroller and putting him in the pack n play (with help from Aunt GiGi of course!) She even let him hold Porter (which is huge b/c Porter the Puppy is her FAVORITE!). Sweet Marcus wanted no part of playing with Macie and Cal and was not thrilled to have to sit still long enough to take pictures!!

American Girl

Aunt Janis and Uncle Bob gave Macie her first American Girl Doll - a Bitty Baby - a few weeks ago for her birthday. Macie loves this baby - who she named Baby Kate. Today, for her birthday, Aunt Janis treated Macie and I to lunch at the American Girl Boutique and Bistro! GrandMimi and Amanda also came with us - and of course Baby Kate too! Baby Kate sat at the table with us while we ate in a special seat that attaches to the table... how cute is that?? There were several other little girls who were celebrating their birthday at the Bistro, and everytime the staff sang, she thought they were singing to her!!! When it was finally REALLY Macie's turn for the birthday song, she was soooo excited. They brought her a little chocolate cake with whip cream and sprinkles and a candle. She only ate the whip cream and sprinkles... and she loved it! After lunch, we went downstairs to the Boutique and shopped for Baby Kate. Amanda bought her a super cute fall outfit, complete with brown clogs. I bought her a new nightgown to sleep in. Aunt Janis bought her the blanket that matched the gown and... a DOUBLE JOGGING STROLLER!!! After shopping we went to Uncle Bob & Aunt Janis' house for birthday cake and ice cream. Macie was sooo excited about all of her gifts. She loved the clothes and the stroller for Baby Kate. GrandMimi made Macie a beautiful quilt - and is going to make a small matching one for Baby Kate! After Uncle Bob put the stroller together, we took it for a test drive to the pond so Baby Kate could see the ducks. We had so much fun!!!

First Day of School!!

Macie had a great first day of school!! She was so excited to tell me all about it - her teachers, her friends, what she learned... She can't wait to go back tomorrow!!

Butterfy School

Butterfly School starts tomorrow!! Macie is sooo very excited! We went to Meet the Teacher last Tuesday - and she has asked to go to Butterfly School everyday since! She is going three days a week this year. Her teachers are wonderful... Ms Rosa and Ms Dolly. (Ms Rosa was actually her Sunday School teacher for the summer term). Her backpack is packed... her 'first day' outfit is ready to go... and she is sleeping soundly, dreaming of tomorrow I am sure!

HapPy 4tH!

We went to the McClay's house for a cookout and fireworks tonight! Will & Steve grilled hamburgers while Kim & I watched the kiddos in the pool. Macie & Gabey got in the pool before we could get their swimsuits on - they had so much fun! The fireworks were beautiful... but a little scary for the kiddos!

Weekend with Nana & G-Daddy

Macie spent the weekend with Nana & G-Daddy at the farm in Bonham. She was so excited to get to see the pony and the cows!

PawPaw's 60th Birthday Party

We celebrated PawPaw's 6oth Birthday this weekend in Emory. We had such a great time - lots of good food, swimming, and family fun!! Happy Birthday PawPaw!!

NFL Equipment Managers Meeting

Steve & I spent the weekend in Carlsbad, CA at the La Costa Resort and Spa. Steve went to attend the NFL Equipment Managers Meeting which started on Monday. The wives were invited to come for the weekend, so we headed to California on Friday morning. The NFL hosted parties Friday, Saturday and Sunday night for us at the resort. They also arranged for the wives to spend a day at the Spa and the guys got to play golf.

The Carrell's came to visit this weekend!!! We had a great time hanging out with them. We went to the zoo while they were here. Couldn't get the girls to look at the camera but Cade was all smiles!

Postseason

Staci, Matt, and my brother in law Jason went to the Cowboys Playoff Game with me... We had so much fun tailgaiting before the game!!!! Unfortunatly our Postseason was a short one as the Cowboys lost to the NY Giants.
