the witch problem...

last halloween she was the cutest witch ever...

guess what she wants to be again this year. not sure what i should do about it... should i try to convince her to be something else? or let her be a witch again? i have looked at witch costumes online and can't find anything i like as much as this adorable costume april made for us last year. what do i do???

we went to the Dallas All Sports Association Banquet last night with the Mac's last night. lots of money was raised to help local students get to college! what a great organization...

Fancy Nancy

macie LOVES Fancy Nancy - especially the books. they are very cute and if you haven't read any of them, i highly recommend that you do. even if you don't have a 4 year old little girl. because they are just that cute. anyway, she got the Fancy Nancy Dress-Up game for her birthday (thanks Slater's!) and she LOVES it too! we all do. - even steve, who will pick out the blue accessories (boa, wand, purse, etc)... i guess it makes him feel more manly!!

mace and i went to the American Girl store today to do some shopping (but mostly admiring!). we LOVE going there and it is always a special treat to pick out something new for baby Kate!

4 year stats...

sweet girl has finally made it to 30 lbs!!! WOW!!! she 37 1/2" tall... so big :)

chuck e. cheese's

macie has been asking forever to go to chuck e. cheese... after an awesome first week at school and a rough trip to the doctor this morning (4 shots!!) i totally thought she deserved a special treat. she loved it!!! was not a fan of the mouse himself (screamed when she saw him...) but loved the games and pizza and rides....

first day...

Macie had a GREAT first day at Butterfly School!!! She loves her teacher, Ms. Tracy and has lots of friends in class! She was so excited about Spanish class and the new word she learned (hola!) and loves Chapel with Mr. Wilson... she can't wait to go back!

almost 5...

tonight after bath, macie announced...

"i am so big... i am about to be 5!!"

and she has only been 4 for one whole day....

we had a super fun party today... lots of princess dress up, make up, crowns and wands for the sweet girls and the boys enjoyed pirate hats and eyepatches, and tatoos and swinging on the "pirate ship"... plus an exciting glass slipper/pirate hat hunt :)
